What about the tray?
Regardless of the tray in use, Mondini has a packaging solution. You do need to be aware of the implications of using some tray types. Choose Mondini equipment though and you can be confident that you have the best possible solution, whatever the tray.
Foil |
Mondini are market leaders in smooth-wall foil lidding applications. 8 tonne seal pressure, combines with double heaters, ensuring outstanding seal integrity and superb temperature maintenance.
Foil trays come in two main types, crinkle and smooth walled. Crinkle wall (top) can't be hermetically sealed, and typically have crimped board lids. Smooth walled trays (bottom) are more expensive but can be sealed hermetically. Both tray types are suitable for oven cooking and freezing, and can be used in most microwave ovens. |

The most regularly used material for ready meal applications. Ovenable, microwaveable, suitable for MAP and can be put into a freezer. |

Very different material from C-PET. A-PET is not suitable for either microwave or oven cooking, but can be used for MAP applications. |
